Job Summary:
The Mental Health Supervisor will be responsible for leading, supervising, and coordinating mental health activities at Gummi General Hospital and outreach locations, working closely with the medical team to provide high-quality support to vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise daily mental health activities.
- Provide clinical supervision and support to counselors.
- Conduct training and capacity-building sessions for MSF and MoH staff.
- Monitor data collection, analyze trends, and compile reports.
- Oversee patient file documentation and follow-ups.
- Organize and participate in MHPSS evaluations and team meetings.
- Collaborate with medical and outreach teams on mental health integration.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in psychosocial counselling (1 year under supervision).
• Languages: Fluency in English and Hausa; knowledge of Fulani is an asset.
• Skills: Leadership ability, cultural sensitivity, and computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook).
